GENERAL INFORMATION
The City Council offers the public an opportunity to bring topics and issues to Council’s attention. Each regular City Council meeting the Council reserves 60 minutes for public concerns, beginning at noon.

Addressing the City Council on Ordinances:
Public comment for proposed ordinances is taken on the date of the scheduled public hearing for the ordinances. Public comment is not taken on the date the ordinances are introduced.
City Council encourages your participation in the Council meeting and in your City government.

CALL TO THE PUBLIC

The City Council offers the public an opportunity to bring topics and issues to Council’s attention. It is called the “Call to the Public”. Council reserves 60 minutes for public concerns beginning at noon on the day of the regular meeting. Individuals who would like to address the Council must sign up using the following form. You may submit it to us in advance of the meeting date or you may sign up that date in person at the table outside Council Chambers. Each participant will be limited to three minutes to make comments.  Any group of five or more persons must appoint one person to present the group’s views to the City Council and will be limited to three minutes to make comments to Council.
The Call to the Public is reserved for items generated by the public. It is not for items already posted on the meeting agenda. If you wish to sign up to speak on items that ARE posted on the meeting agenda, please use the appropriate form below.

SPEAK ON AGENDA ITEMS

City Council encourages members of the public to address items on the meeting agendas posted for discussion and action. On the day of the meeting by 9:00 A.M., persons wishing to speak may sign up at the City Clerk's table outside the Council chambers. The City Clerk also will accept requests by e-mail or phone in advance of the meeting. Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes each. Please call the City Clerk’s Office at 212-0049 if we may assist you in participating in the City Council meetings.
Members of the public may not move an item to the Regular agenda for discussion unless the Mayor Pro Tempore approves or if a Council member requests the move to the Regular Agenda.
